Senior Principal, UX Design & Experience Strategy, Nordstrom
Kate Ramsey joined Nordstrom in 2011 as a user experience design manger. In 2013, she became senior principal of UX design and experience strategy. In this role Kate actively partners with business and technology teams across the enterprise to focus on what’s next by weaving together a future vision that clearly communicates our ambition and business strategies. Using customer-centric insights and learnings she guides, collaborates, facilitates, and story-tells to gain alignment and to build a launchpad for product and experience innovation and evolution.
Kate was one of the founding members of the user experience team. She is passionate about authentic and helpful interactions on a user’s holistic journey. She strives to empower the team of designers, researchers, and writers through mentoring relationships – by guiding, encouraging and supporting. The team focuses on problem-solving on behalf of the customer to design the simplest, most delightful end-to-end experiences across digital and physical retail touchpoints.
Prior to Nordstrom, Kate led user experience at OCLC and was the lead UX consultant at Ramp Technology Group. She’s also held interactive design roles at RealNetworks, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and Disney Internet Group.
